Pokémon ETB Prices UK 2026: Every Elite Trainer Box Valued

Every Elite Trainer Box ever released — 69 sets from XY in 2014 to Mega Evolution, standard and Pokémon Center — priced from 13,360 completed eBay UK sales, plus three years of history for each. There is a twin page for the same boxes on eBay US, in dollars. Refreshed 20 September 2026.

Nothing sells below RRP any more, not even the sets still on shop shelves. One of every standard box would cost £13,077 (£2,130 at retail); one of every Pokémon Center box, £9,069. Every Standard ETB

Twelve years of boxes on one axis. Generations at £703 is 11 times Chaos Rising at £63. By era the median box is XY 17.6×, Sun & Moon 6.7×, Sword & Shield 3.1×, Scarlet & Violet 2.2×, Mega Evolution 2.0× — and the three 2026 main sets are the only boxes anywhere near retail. Boxes marked * trade too rarely in the UK for a monthly median and show a twelve-month average instead.

Every Pokémon Center ETB

Two extra packs, sold only through Pokémon Center, and a different order at the top: Evolving Skies £750, 151 £750, Obsidian Flames £554. Pokémon Center exclusives only began with Chilling Reign in 2021. Treat anything under ten sales as a level, not a price.

The Pokémon Center Premium

At retail the Pokémon Center box costs £5–£15 more. On eBay the gap runs from 1.11× (Brilliant Stars) to 3.65× (Destined Rivals), and it only opens up on sets whose exclusive run was the hard one to get. For the three 2026 main sets it is £7–£13, roughly what the extra packs are worth.

Does Age Pay?

Partly. Older is dearer on average — the 2014–19 boxes median 9.3× RRP against 3.1× for Sword & Shield and 2.2× for Scarlet & Violet — but the order inside each era is set by scarcity, not the calendar: Evolving Skies (2021) is 10.1× and the 2020 base set 3.9×; 151 (2023) is 8.5× and Paradox Rift from the same autumn 2.1×. Main sets from Paradox Rift onwards roughly double and stop; special sets and anything from a shortage run further.

Release Day Onwards

The three 2026 main sets are flat at retail-plus-fees: Pitch Black £63, Chaos Rising £63, Perfect Order £65. Destined Rivals is the one moving: £157 in the week to 28 June to £90 in the week to 20 September, a 43% fall on 1,371 sales in a month. 30th Celebration: 533 boxes in four days at £140, a launch-week price; its singles are tracked daily in 30th Celebration Prices: Release Day to Now.

Three Years

eBay’s search stops at ninety days; Seller Hub’s research tool reaches back to September 2023. Weekly averages, standard box, every set with enough sales; for the Sword & Shield boxes that is the second half of their life. Dashed red is RRP; the dot is the peak.

Same shape almost everywhere: a box sells around retail for a few months, then climbs once shops run dry. The 2023–24 sets climbed and stayed up (16 of 19 boxes released inside the window are more than 10% above their launch quarter); the 2025–26 sets climbed and have given some back; the Sword & Shield boxes are mostly at or near three-year highs.

Thirty-Day Movers

Thirty-day median against the sixty days before, boxes with five or more recent sales, both ends of the list. The big faller is Destined Rivals, down 27% on 1,371 sales.

The boxes people ask about most, answered from the same data. Every figure is the 30-day eBay UK median.

What It Means

• Opening? Buy the current set in a shop at £49.99. On eBay the same box is £63–£65 plus postage.
• Holding? Main-set boxes from the last two years settle around 2× and stay there; the Sword & Shield era shows where they go from there (3.1× after three to six years) and the 2014–19 boxes (9.3×) where they end up. The Pokémon Center premium only pays on sets whose exclusive run was small.
• Selling? 151 (£425), Paldean Fates (£293) and Evolving Skies (£404) are within a few percent of three months ago. Destined Rivals has already told you what it thinks: £157 at the end of June, £90 now.

Methodology

• Source. eBay UK sold listings, UK sellers only, collected 20 September 2026; 13,360 sales after filtering, complete for the last 30 days and for the prior 60 on every set except 30th Celebration (30th Celebration simply because it is only days old). Boxes with fewer than five UK sales in 30 days (most of the 2014–19 sets) are priced instead at their sales-weighted twelve-month average from Seller Hub research, marked * or “12-mo avg”, and need at least eight sales in the year to appear.
• Filter. One search per set; titles must name an ETB and no other set; cases, sleeves, codes, graded promos, opened boxes, lots and Japanese product excluded; Pokémon Center tagged from the title; sales under half or over 2.5× a product’s median dropped (96 rows).
• Numbers. Medians of the last 30 days; “vs prior 60d” compares with days 31–90; weekly figures are seven-day buckets back from 20 September 2026. Two-cover sets (Sword & Shield, Battle Styles, Chilling Reign, Evolving Skies, Scarlet & Violet, Paradox Rift, Temporal Forces, Mega Evolution) are pooled.
• RRPs. XY and Sun & Moon boxes are taken at £34.99 (main sets) and £39.99 (Generations, Shining Legends, Dragon Majesty, Hidden Fates) — approximate, from memory of period retail rather than an archived source, so their multiples are indicative. Standard ETB £39.99 for Sword & Shield main sets and £49.99 for its special sets (Pokémon Center UK’s archived 2023 listing; Champion’s Path, Celebrations and Crown Zenith assumed at the special-set price); £49.99 throughout Scarlet & Violet and Mega Evolution (archived UK retailer listings; Asmodee UK for 30th). Means, not medians, and it counts fewer sales than the search page, so it is used for shape and peaks, not for the headline prices.
