Journey Together set overview

Journey Together is the ninth main set of the Scarlet & Violet series. It went on sale on 28 March 2025, after prerelease events on the weekends of 15 and 22 March, and it reached Pokémon TCG Live on 27 March. The set has 190 cards: a 159-card main list and 31 secret rares numbered 160/159 to 190/159. It was also the first Pokémon TCG set printed in Latin American Spanish.

The set brought back Trainer's Pokémon, cards that name the Trainer who owns the Pokémon, for the first time in a main set since EX Team Magma vs Team Aqua. The mechanic dates back to Gym Heroes. Four Trainers lead it: N with N's Zoroark ex, Iono with Iono's Bellibolt ex, Lillie with Lillie's Clefairy ex and Hop with Hop's Zacian ex. Of the set's 16 Pokémon ex, those four are the Trainer's Pokémon ex.

Journey Together also revived the box topper. The Enhanced Booster Display Box holds a sealed, logo-stamped N's Reshiram Illustration Rare, the first booster display with a box topper since EX Holon Phantoms in 2006. The English list adapts the Japanese set Battle Partners and adds a large group of cards from Japan's Generations Start Decks.

What changed from Battle Partners

• Added: 59 main-list cards. Most come from Japan's Generations Start Decks, nine ready-made decks released on 22 November 2024, including Blaziken ex (024/159), Reshiram ex (030/159), Tapu Koko ex (051/159), Mimikyu ex (069/159) and Paldean Clodsire ex (094/159). A few were Japanese gym promos, such as Veluza ex (043/159).
• Moved to a promo: the N's Zorua art rare from Battle Partners, by Megumi Mizutani, became the Elite Trainer Box promo (SVP 189).
• Numbering: the English main list runs to 159 against 100 in Japan, and there are 31 secret rares against 32.

The six cards below are the most expensive singles in the set by market price on 9 October 2026. The most expensive of all on that date was Lillie's Clefairy ex (184/159, Special Illustration Rare). The six Special Illustration Rares are Lillie's Clefairy ex (184/159), N's Zoroark ex (185/159), Iono's Bellibolt ex (183/159), Hop's Zacian ex (186/159), Salamence ex (187/159) and Volcanion ex (182/159). The Special Illustration Rares are by Susumu Maeya (Lillie's Clefairy ex), Megumi Mizutani (N's Zoroark ex), Yuu Nishida (Iono's Bellibolt ex), DOM (Hop's Zacian ex), Tsuyoshi Nagano (Salamence ex) and akagi (Volcanion ex). Megumi Mizutani also drew the N's Zorua art rare that became the Elite Trainer Box promo. Battle Partners (バトルパートナーズ) released in Japan on 24 January 2025 with 100 numbered cards and 32 secret rares, 132 in total, with 30 packs to a booster box. It was the Japanese set that brought back Trainer's Pokémon. Journey Together keeps its Pokémon and Trainers, adds 59 cards to the main list, mostly from the Generations Start Decks, and moves the N's Zorua art rare into the Elite Trainer Box. Japanese secret rares use the AR, SR, SAR and UR labels, where the English set uses IR, UR, SIR and HR.

Journey Together products and sealed prices

Everything below launched with the set on 28 March 2025 except the Build & Battle Box, which came first at prerelease events. Its four promos are Trainer's Pokémon: N's Darmanitan (SVP 181), Iono's Kilowattrel (SVP 182), Lillie's Ribombee (SVP 183) and Hop's Snorlax (SVP 184). The Elite Trainer Boxes show N and Zoroark and hold a full-art N's Zorua promo (SVP 189); the Pokémon Center version adds two packs and a stamped second copy. Two 36-pack boxes were sold: the regular Booster Box and the Enhanced Booster Box with its N's Reshiram box topper, which was mainly a North American product and limited to some Play! Pokémon stores in Europe. The Hop's Zacian ex Box came out on the same day. Sealed prices are market prices from the same snapshot as the singles.
