Prismatic Evolutions set overview

Prismatic Evolutions is the fourth special set of the Scarlet & Violet series, released on 17 January 2025 and playable in Pokémon TCG Live a day earlier. It has 180 cards: a 131-card main list and 49 secret rares numbered 132/131 to 180/131. It had no booster box; the cards came in Elite Trainer Boxes and collections released from January to September 2025.

The set is built around Eevee and its eight Evolutions, all appearing as Stellar Tera Pokémon ex. It has 25 Pokémon ex in all, 15 of them Tera Pokémon ex, and 32 Special Illustration Rares, far more than a main set, including one for each Eeveelution. It also has two extra parallel holo patterns: Pokémon cards at Common, Uncommon and Rare come with a Poké Ball or a Master Ball etched into the background as well as the regular reverse holo, while Common and Uncommon Trainers come in regular and Poké Ball versions only.

Demand ran well ahead of supply at launch. Two days before release The Pokémon Company International said it would print more of the set because of high demand, and it repeated the promise in the months that followed.

Prismatic Evolutions chase cards

The six cards below are the most expensive singles in the set by market price on 9 October 2026. The most expensive of all on that date was Umbreon ex (161/131, Special Illustration Rare). The nine Eevee and Eeveelution Special Illustration Rares are the heart of the set: Umbreon ex (161/131), Sylveon ex (156/131), Espeon ex (155/131), Leafeon ex (144/131), Vaporeon ex (149/131), Glaceon ex (150/131), Flareon ex (146/131), Jolteon ex (153/131) and Eevee ex (167/131). The secret rares start at 132/131: 12 Ultra Rares, 32 Special Illustration Rares and five gold Hyper Rares. There are no Illustration Rares in this set. The six ACE SPEC cards sit in the main list. Prismatic Evolutions illustrators

93 illustrators are credited across the 180 cards. The Eeveelution Special Illustration Rares are each by a different artist: YASHIRO Nanaco (Umbreon ex), Cona Nitanda (Sylveon ex), sui (Espeon ex), Jiro Sasumo (Leafeon ex), Narano (Vaporeon ex), Kamome Shirahama (Glaceon ex), Nurikabe (Flareon ex), kantaro (Jolteon ex) and tono (Eevee ex). Yukihiro Tada drew all four Ogerpon ex Special Illustration Rares, Tomowaka drew four of the six Supporter ones, and the Palafin ex Special Illustration Rare (151/131) is by Tetsuo Hara, the artist of the manga Fist of the North Star.

Japanese source: Terastal Festival ex

Prismatic Evolutions is not a one-to-one adaptation. Its main Japanese source is the high-class pack Terastal Festival ex (テラスタルフェスex), released on 6 December 2024 with 237 cards (187 + 50 secret rares). Its packs held ten cards with a guaranteed Pokémon ex, and a box held ten packs. It collected Tera Pokémon ex from across the era around the new Eeveelution cards, and the English version keeps its Eevee cards and Special Illustration Rares but leaves out many of the others. In their place it adds cards from Japan's Generations Start Decks, such as Pikachu ex, Lucario ex, Tyranitar ex and Lugia ex.

Prismatic Evolutions products and sealed prices

Prismatic Evolutions arrived in waves. The Elite Trainer Box, with an Eevee promo in illustration rare style, launched on 17 January 2025 with the Binder, Poster and Tech Sticker collections. The mini tins and the Surprise Box followed on 7 February, the Booster Bundle on 7 March, the Accessory Pouch Special Collection on 25 April, the Super-Premium Collection on 16 May and the Premium Figure Collection on 26 September 2025. The Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box adds two packs and a second Eevee promo with the Pokémon Center stamp. Sealed prices are market prices from the same snapshot as the singles.
