Temporal Forces set overview

Temporal Forces is the fifth main set of the Scarlet & Violet series. It went on sale on 22 March 2024, after prerelease events on the weekends of 9 and 16 March. The set has 218 cards: a 162-card main list and 56 secret rares numbered 163/162 to 218/162.

The set carries on the Ancient and Future Pokémon that Paradox Rift introduced. Its six headline Pokémon ex are Paradox Pokémon modelled on the Legendary beasts and the Swords of Justice: the Ancient Walking Wake ex, Gouging Fire ex and Raging Bolt ex, and the Future Iron Leaves ex, Iron Boulder ex and Iron Crown ex. Of its 15 Pokémon ex, Wugtrio ex and Farigiraf ex are Tera Pokémon ex.

Temporal Forces also brought back ACE SPEC cards, which first appeared in the Black & White series. A deck can hold only one ACE SPEC card of any kind. The set has seven, each with a magenta card design: six Trainer cards, including Prime Catcher, Master Ball and Hero's Cape, and one Special Energy, Neo Upper Energy.

The English list combines two Japanese sets released on the same day, Wild Force and Cyber Judge, with cards from Japan's Starter Deck & Build Sets and one gym promo. The changes are listed below.

What changed from Wild Force and Cyber Judge

• Merged: all 142 main-list cards of Wild Force and Cyber Judge, 71 from each. The Ancient trio comes from Wild Force, including Walking Wake ex (050/162) and Raging Bolt ex (123/162); the Future trio comes from Cyber Judge, including Iron Leaves ex (025/162) and Iron Crown ex (081/162).
• Added from the Starter Deck & Build Sets: 19 cards from Japan's Ancient Koraidon ex and Future Miraidon ex Starter Deck & Build Sets, released on 26 January 2024. They include Koraidon ex (120/162), Miraidon ex (122/162), Latias (067/162), Iron Jugulis (139/162) and the Master Ball ACE SPEC (153/162).
• Added from a Japanese gym promo: Scovillain ex (022/162), which was one of the cards in Pokémon Card Gym Promo Card Pack 3 in Japan from 28 July 2023.
• Moved to promos: the Flutter Mane art rare from Wild Force, by Takumi Wada, and the Iron Thorns art rare from Cyber Judge, by Tonji Matsuno, became the Elite Trainer Box promos (SVP 097 and SVP 098).
• Numbering: 162 main cards against 142 across the two Japanese sets, and 56 secret rares against 58.

Temporal Forces chase cards

The six cards below are the most expensive singles in the set by market price on 9 October 2026. The most expensive of all on that date was Gastly (177/162, Illustration Rare). The headline Special Illustration Rares are the six Paradox Pokémon ex. Teeziro drew the Ancient trio, Raging Bolt ex (208/162), Gouging Fire ex (204/162) and Walking Wake ex (205/162), and nagimiso drew the Future trio, Iron Crown ex (206/162), Iron Leaves ex (203/162) and Iron Boulder ex (207/162). The Gastly line, which is Darkness type in this set, and Morty, the Ghost-type Gym Leader, also feature among the rares: the Gastly Illustration Rare (177/162) by Mousho, the Gengar ex Ultra Rare (193/162) by Satoshi Shirai and the Morty's Conviction Special Illustration Rare (211/162) by Megumi Mizutani. Every card in the set is below in set-number order, with its rarity, illustrator and market price. The secret rares start at 163/162: 22 Illustration Rares, 18 Ultra Rares, 10 Special Illustration Rares and six gold Hyper Rares, one for each Paradox Pokémon ex. The seven ACE SPEC cards sit in the main list with their own rarity chip. Iron Valiant and Great Tusk each have two different cards in the main list, so check the number when you trade. Search by name, number, artist or rarity, or narrow the list with the type, rarity and price chips. The Own button marks a card as collected and saves the mark in your browser only.

Temporal Forces illustrators

141 illustrators are credited across the 218 cards, and 5ban Graphics has the most credits, including six of the Double Rare Pokémon ex and four of the six Hyper Rares. Teeziro drew the three Ancient Special Illustration Rares and two Rares, Koraidon (119/162) and Dudunsparce (129/162); nagimiso drew the three Future ones. The Supporter Special Illustration Rares are by Cona Nitanda (Bianca's Devotion), DOM (Eri), Megumi Mizutani (Morty's Conviction) and Tetsu Kayama (Salvatore). Among the Illustration Rares, Susumu Maeya drew both Deerling and Sawsbuck, Shibuzoh. drew both Minccino and Cinccino, and Mitsuhiro Arita drew Relicanth. Each tile leads with the artist's highest-value card in the set; the name links to their entry in the illustrator database.

Wild Force (ワイルドフォース) and Cyber Judge (サイバージャッジ) released together in Japan on 26 January 2024, each with 71 numbered cards and 29 secret rares. Wild Force holds the Ancient Pokémon and Cyber Judge the Future ones, and each has three ACE SPEC cards. Japan's Ancient Koraidon ex and Future Miraidon ex Starter Deck & Build Sets came out the same day. Each held a 60-card deck plus deck-building cards, including a Master Ball ACE SPEC. Japanese secret rares use the AR, SR, SAR and UR labels, where the English set uses IR, UR, SIR and HR.

Temporal Forces products and sealed prices

Everything below launched with the set on 22 March 2024 except the Build & Battle Box, which came first at prerelease events. Its four promos are Feraligatr (SVP 089), Metang (SVP 090), Koraidon (SVP 091) and Miraidon (SVP 092). The Walking Wake and Iron Leaves Elite Trainer Boxes differ only in their art and promo. The Pokémon Center versions, sold on Pokémon Center online stores from the same day, add two packs and a second copy of the promo with a Pokémon Center stamp. The Booster Bundle came in two box designs for the first time: the style used since Lost Origin and a new wider, shallower box, both with six packs. Every blister except the 3-Pack Blister came with a Pawmi coin. Stage 1 Blisters with the Scovillain or Palafin evolution lines were sold only through some retailers, such as Target. Sealed prices are market prices from the same snapshot as the singles.
