The Classic Collection is a 30-card run of reprints inside 30th Celebration. The cards are not part of the numbered main set and are not tournament legal.
Where the cards come from
Classic Collection cards come from two places. They turn up in ordinary 30th Celebration booster packs, about one pack in 10, which was not expected before release: openings since 16 September have shown them in every kind of English product. The only product that guarantees them is the Ultra-Premium Collection — Day & Night, which contains 29 regular booster packs and one Classic Collection pack, and releases on 6 November 2026, seven weeks after the main set.
Classic Collection pull rates
Four separate counts of English packs opened since release, from 420 to 4,063 packs, all put Classic Collection cards at about one pack in 10 (observed rates of 1 in 9.5 to 1 in 10.5). A reprint takes the place of a main-set card in the third slot of the pack, the same slot as the Illustration Rares, so it can land alongside a Double Rare or a Special Illustration Rare.

Thirty designs share that one-in-10 slot, so one specific reprint is about 1 in 300 packs, around 33 Elite Trainer Boxes. No count is yet big enough to show whether some reprints are scarcer than others: in 652 logged packs the 64 reprints pulled were spread widely, led by Raikou (4), Scizor, Misty and Dark Tyranitar (3 each) and Greninja BREAK (2). Chasing a particular card, such as Charizard 4/102, is far cheaper as a single than from packs.
Japanese M6a boxes work differently: logged box openings found two Classic Collection cards in almost every 20-pack box. English packs have no box-level guarantee. The rates for every other rarity are in the 30th Celebration pull rates guide.
The 30 cards
In the order they appear on the official reveal, with the set each reprint is taken from. The images below show each card’s original printing. Seven of the 30th Celebration reprints have been imaged so far: Base Set Pikachu (136/103), illustrated by Mitsuhiro Arita, Base Set Charizard (137/103), Pikachu & Zekrom-GX (160/103), which was shown in play on the official Japanese channel on 23 August 2026, Dark Tyranitar (144/103), illustrated by Nakaoka, Magikarp (165/103), illustrated by Shinji Kanda, Mew VMAX (163/103), illustrated by 5ban Graphics, and "Crystal" Lugia, which is numbered 142/103 on the Traditional Chinese card but keeps its original Aquapolis number, 149/147, in English. Those seven also line up with the order below. Pikachu is first here and numbered 136, Charizard second and 137, “Crystal” Lugia seventh and 142, Dark Tyranitar ninth and 144, Pikachu & Zekrom-GX twenty-fifth and 160, Mew VMAX twenty-eighth and 163, and Magikarp thirtieth and 165. Seven matches with no gaps would put the whole Classic Collection at 136–165, in this order. That is read off the cards that have been imaged rather than published by The Pokémon Company, so the numbers for the other 23 are not settled.

What the 30 cards cover
The run spans the whole history of the game, from Base Set through to a Paldea Evolved Illustration Rare. Nine of the 30 come from the era before 2010.
Two of the slots are the two halves of a single LEGEND card, Darkrai & Cresselia from HS Triumphant, which is assembled from a top and a bottom card.

Thirty. Two of them are the top and bottom halves of one LEGEND card.
Is the list final?
Every one of the thirty is now imaged. The official Japanese site shows all thirty as individual card scans, numbered 136/103 to 165/103, which settles both the line-up and the numbering. The Pokémon Company has still not published it as a formal checklist, so this page is dated to show how current it is.
