About the Set
Platinum opened the Platinum series and brought in Pokémon SP, a card type for Pokémon belonging to a named Trainer or group. Its six Pokémon Lv.X run 122–127 and include Dialga G Lv.X and Palkia G Lv.X, plus two separate Shaymin Lv.X for the Pokémon’s two formes. Three secret rares close the numbering at 128–130, and the shiny subset continues at SH4–SH6.
How to identify it: numbered cards read N/127. Pokémon SP carry a suffix after the name (G for Team Galactic). The secret rares read 128/127 to 130/127, and the shiny cards carry SH4–SH6 numbers.
Pokémon Lv.X, Secret Rares & Shiny
Platinum had a single print run. Its chase cards are the six Pokémon Lv.X, the three secret rares and the three shiny Pokémon.

Collecting & Where to Buy
Platinum is out of print and trades on the secondary market. Common singles are inexpensive, while the six Pokémon Lv.X — Giratina and the two Shaymin especially — and the shiny cards carry the strongest premiums.
Collector tip: the Pokémon Lv.X (122–127) and the shiny SH cards are the prize — check the metallic border for wear, and note the two Shaymin Lv.X are different cards.
