EX Hidden Legends was the fifth EX Series set, released in June 2004. It centred on legendary Pokémon — the three legendary titans Regirock, Regice and Registeel appear as Pokémon-ex, alongside Groudon ex and Kyogre ex — and closed with a secret-rare Groudon numbered beyond the printed total.

Hidden Legends put legendary Pokémon at the centre of the set. Its nine Pokémon-ex include the three legendary titans — Regirock ex, Regice ex and Registeel ex — along with Groudon ex, Kyogre ex, Metagross ex and more. A single secret rare, Groudon, is numbered 102/101, one above the printed total.
How to identify it: cards read N/101. The lone secret rare, Groudon, is numbered 102/101, above the set total. Pokémon-ex have the silver holo border and the “ex” suffix.

EX Hidden Legends had a single Unlimited print run. The cards that matter to collectors are the nine Pokémon-ex and the lone secret rare numbered past the total.

Promo Cards
The Nintendo Black Star Promos from this era featured Hoenn Pokémon, including the Beldum line that evolves into Metagross, and Flygon.
Nintendo Black Star Promos use their own numbering (#1 onward) and carry a black star where a set symbol would be.
Collecting & Where to Buy
EX Hidden Legends is out of print and trades on the secondary market. Most singles are inexpensive, while the nine Pokémon-ex — the legendary titans and Metagross ex among them — and the secret-rare Groudon carry the strongest premiums.
