EX Crystal Guardians was the fourteenth EX Series set, released in August 2006. It continued the Holon and Delta Species storyline, pairing ten Pokémon-ex with two Gold Star Pokémon — Alakazam and Celebi — as its top chase cards.

About the Set
EX Crystal Guardians carried on the Holon region storyline, with many Delta Species Pokémon carrying the δ symbol and an unexpected type. Ten Pokémon-ex run from 89 to 98, and the two Gold Star Pokémon — Alakazam ★ and Celebi ★ — close the set at 99 and 100 as its headline pulls.
How to identify it: numbered cards read N/100. Delta Species Pokémon carry a small δ next to the name. The two Gold Star Pokémon are cards 99 and 100 with a gold ★.
Pokémon-ex & Gold Star
EX Crystal Guardians had a single Unlimited print run. Its chase cards are the ten Pokémon-ex and the two Gold Star Pokémon.

Promo Cards
The Nintendo Black Star Promos from this era included legendary Pokémon-ex and a Celebi, fitting the set’s Gold Star and legendary theme.

Collecting & Where to Buy
EX Crystal Guardians is out of print and trades on the secondary market. Common singles are inexpensive, while the two Gold Star Pokémon and Jirachi ex carry the strongest premiums.
Collector tip: the Gold Star Pokémon (99–100) are the prize — check the gold ★ and the shiny colouring for wear.
