About the Set
EX Emerald tied into the Pokémon Emerald game and gathered a wide range of Hoenn ex Pokémon. Its eleven Pokémon-ex include the three legendary titans — Regirock ex, Regice ex and Registeel ex — along with Deoxys ex, Milotic ex and Altaria ex. The set is also known for its broad run of special Energy cards. A lone secret rare, Farfetch’d, is numbered 107/106.
How to identify it: cards read N/106. The lone secret rare, Farfetch’d, is numbered 107/106, above the total. Pokémon-ex have the silver ex border. Unlike the EX sets on either side of it, EX Emerald contains no Gold Star Pokémon.

Nintendo Black Star Promos use their own numbering (#1 onward) and carry a black star where a set symbol would be.
Collecting & Where to Buy
EX Emerald is out of print and trades on the secondary market. Common singles are inexpensive, while the eleven Pokémon-ex — the legendary titans and Deoxys ex among them — and the secret-rare Farfetch’d carry the strongest premiums.
Collector tip: the Pokémon-ex and the secret-rare Farfetch’d (107/106) are the value — check the silver ex borders for wear.
