EX Deoxys was the eighth EX Series set, released in February 2005. Built around Deoxys — with three Deoxys ex representing different formes — it also carried three Gold Star Pokémon, including the highly sought Rayquaza ★, and a secret-rare Rocket’s Raikou ex.

EX Deoxys put the mythical Deoxys front and centre with three Pokémon-ex for its different formes. Its headline cards are the three Gold Star Pokémon — Latias ★, Latios ★ and Rayquaza ★ — with Gold Star Rayquaza among the most sought-after cards of the EX era. A single secret rare, Rocket’s Raikou ex, is numbered 108/107, beyond the total.
How to identify it: cards read N/107. Gold Star Pokémon carry a gold ★ and shiny colours (cards 105–107). The lone secret rare, Rocket’s Raikou ex, is numbered 108/107, above the total.
Pokémon-ex, Gold Star & Secret Rare
EX Deoxys had a single Unlimited print run. The chase cards are the Pokémon-ex, the three Gold Star Pokémon and the lone secret rare.

Promo Cards
The Nintendo Black Star Promos from this era featured Rayquaza as a Pokémon-ex — the legendary tied to the Deoxys film — alongside Mew.
Nintendo Black Star Promos use their own numbering (#1 onward) and carry a black star where a set symbol would be.
Collecting & Where to Buy
EX Deoxys is out of print and trades on the secondary market. Most singles are inexpensive, but the three Gold Star Pokémon — Rayquaza ★ especially — are among the most valuable cards of the EX era, and the nine Pokémon-ex hold solid value.
Collector tip: Gold Star Rayquaza (107/107) is the prize — verify the gold ★ and shiny colouring, and favour graded copies, since the finish shows wear easily.
