Pokémon has had ghosts since Gastly in 1996, and the card game has spent 30 years drawing them in haunted houses, graveyards and candlelit halls. These are the 22 cards we would pick for Halloween, from a $16.51 Lampent to a $2,063.55 Gengar & Mimikyu, chosen for how spooky the art is rather than how they play. Prices are TCGplayer market prices on 2 October 2026, with sterling at $1 = £0.7575.
Halloween 2026: what is out this month
There is no new Halloween product on shop shelves yet. Pokémon released a Trick or Trade BOOster Bundle of stamped mini packs every autumn from 2022 to 2024, skipped 2025, and has not announced one for 2026. The Halloween cards this year come from Pokémon League instead:
| Halloween 2026 | Details |
|---|---|
| Cards | Zubat, Golbat and Crobat promos |
| When | 1 to 31 October 2026 |
| Where | Play! Pokémon stores, to League players. Each store chooses how: tournaments, play and trade sessions or Pokéween events |
| Look | The Trick or Trade Pikachu pumpkin stamp, plus a Play! Pokémon watermark on the card body |
| Also given out | Ghost Pokémon stickers |
Last year’s equivalent was a single pumpkin-stamped Spiritomb (Mega Evolution 087) handed out at Pokéween events. Find your nearest League with the Play! Pokémon event locator before the end of the month.
Spooky cards under $50
The Scarlet & Violet era’s illustration rares are where Halloween collecting gets good on a budget. Each trio costs about $111 together.

Trick or Trade BOOster Bundles were made to hand out instead of sweets: small packs of three cards, sold in bundles, released in the US, Canada and the UK. Each year’s set is 30 Halloween-themed Pokémon reprinted from recent expansions. They keep their original set numbers, with a small Pikachu jack-o’-lantern stamped in the bottom right of the artwork.
| Set | Released | Packs per bundle | Cards reprinted from | Bundle today |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Trick or Trade 2022 | 1 Sep 2022 | 40 | Rebel Clash to Astral Radiance | $75.99£58 |
| Trick or Trade 2023 | 1 Sep 2023 | 50 | Sword & Shield to Paldea Evolved | $83.78£63 |
| Trick or Trade 2024 | 30 Aug 2024 | 35 | Paldea Evolved to Twilight Masquerade | $66.70£51 |
The singles are cheap: the most expensive stamped card on TCGplayer is the 2024 cosmos holo Gengar at $3.85, and most sell for under 50 cents. That makes them the best cards here for actually giving to trick-or-treaters. The 2024 packs are not random either: each is one of ten pre-sorted packs with no overlap, so ten packs make a complete set. Bundle prices above are TCGplayer market prices for sealed bundles, which rose after they left shops; retailers re-stocked older bundles in 2025, so check high-street shops before paying those prices.
All three Trick or Trade sets include Gastly, Haunter and Gengar, and all three include Mimikyu and Pikachu. 2024 added the Teal Mask Ogerpon and the Loyal Three, Okidogi, Munkidori and Fezandipiti.
FAQ
Is there a Trick or Trade BOOster Bundle for Halloween 2026?
As of 3 October 2026 The Pokémon Company has not announced a 2026 Trick or Trade BOOster Bundle. The bundles came out in 2022, 2023 and 2024; in 2025 there was no new set, only a pumpkin-stamped Spiritomb promo for Play! Pokémon stores. For Halloween 2026, Pokémon League players can earn pumpkin-stamped Zubat, Golbat and Crobat promos from 1 to 31 October.
How do you get the Halloween 2026 Zubat, Golbat and Crobat promos?
They are given out at Play! Pokémon stores to Pokémon League players between 1 and 31 October 2026. Each store decides how, for example through tournaments, play and trade sessions or Pokéween events. The cards carry the Pikachu pumpkin stamp and a Play! Pokémon watermark, and ghost Pokémon stickers are being handed out too.
What is the best cheap Pokémon card for Halloween?
For under $25, the White Flare Lampent (102/086, $16.51) and Litwick (101/086, $25.15) illustration rares and the Scarlet & Violet Greavard illustration rare (214/198, $19.53) are the best value.
