The Set at a Glance
Chaos Rising (ME04) is the fourth set in the Mega Evolution era. Mega Greninja ex appears across three rarity slots — Ultra Rare, Special Illustration Rare, and Mega Hyper Rare — and takes the top three positions by market price. Cinccino ex is the next highest at just over $100, followed by a cluster of Mega ex SIRs in the $60–$75 range. The Illustration Rares — Froakie, Frogadier, and the Trainer SIRs — were anticipated ahead of release and their prices reflect that.
All prices are TCGPlayer market prices at time of writing. Market prices fluctuate — check current listings before buying or selling.

The Top 10, Counted Down
The middle stage of the Greninja line. Frogadier's IR sits just below Froakie in price — typical for mid-evolutions, which tend to see less individual demand than the base or final form. Both IRs are required for master set completion.
Froakie, Frogadier, and Mega Greninja ex (122/086) form a connected side-by-side panoramic artwork across their three cards.
Froakie's IR was expected given its role as the set's featured Water starter. It sits slightly above Frogadier — pre-evolutions tend to attract more individual collector interest than mid-stages. At $22.92 it's the entry point for the Greninja evolution line in this set.
Along with Frogadier and Mega Greninja ex (122/086), Froakie is part of a connected side-by-side panoramic artwork that spans all three cards.
The standard Ultra Rare print of Mega Greninja ex. Eight listings on TCGPlayer gives it the most liquidity of any card in the set's top 10. This is the version players are likely running in competitive decks — the UR art is less detailed than the SIR but it's readily available and priced accordingly.
Worth noting that a UR making the top 10 at all is unusual — Ultra Rares rarely command enough collector or player demand to rank alongside SIRs and IRs. The Greninja name is doing a lot of heavy lifting here.
One of two Trainer SIRs in Chaos Rising. Roxie is the Poison-type gym leader from Unova, known for her band Koffing and the Toxics. Four listings in the market. At $37.45 it's the more affordable of the two Trainer SIRs in this set.
The second Trainer SIR in Chaos Rising. AZ is a character from Pokémon X and Y — a former king who used an ancient weapon to resurrect his Floette after it was killed in war, then wandered the world for 3,000 years. Two listings. Commands a small premium over Roxie's Performance, likely driven by the strength of the character in the X/Y fanbase.
Mega Floette ex is a Fairy-type design from the X and Y era — notably the form linked to AZ's story, though on the card it functions as a standard Mega Evolution. Three listings in the market. At $61.91 it's the cheapest of the three Mega ex SIRs in this set.
Mega Dragalge ex is a Poison/Dragon-type introduced in X and Y. One listing in the market at time of writing — the lowest availability of any card in the top 10, which likely accounts for its position above Mega Floette ex despite similar rarity. $73 market price, $71.19 listed.
Cinccino ex is the only non-Greninja card in the set to break $100. Currently out of stock on TCGPlayer — the $100.19 market price reflects recent sales rather than active listings. Cinccino is a Normal-type from Gen V with a consistent collector following.
The Mega Hyper Rare version of Mega Greninja ex — the highest rarity slot in the set. Two listings from $400, market price at $328.84. The gap between listing price and market price suggests current sellers are asking above recent sold comps. Lower print volume than the SIR.
This card completes the connected side-by-side panoramic artwork alongside the Froakie and Frogadier IRs — the three cards placed together form a single continuous scene.
The most valuable card in Chaos Rising. One listing at $684.75, market price at $468.21. The SIR commands a higher price than the MHR despite being a lower rarity tier — full-scene illustration SIRs have consistently outperformed gold-treatment MHRs across recent Mega Evolution era sets. Greninja is one of the most popular Pokémon in the franchise, which keeps demand broad.
Just Missed the Cut
Xerneas (091/086, IR) — $19.63. The Legendary from X and Y. Five listings in the market, closely priced with Frogadier.
Ampharos (090/086, IR) — $17.80. The Gen II Electric-type. Seven listings — the most available of any IR in the set — keeping its price at the bottom of the extended list.
Notes
Mega Greninja ex accounts for three of the top eight cards by price. The SIR (116/086) is the set's headline card at $468, with the MHR (122/086) close behind at $329. Cinccino ex is the only non-Greninja card above $100. The Trainer SIRs — AZ's Tranquility and Roxie's Performance — sit in the $37–$44 range, consistent with Trainer SIR pricing across the Mega Evolution era so far.
