Every English expansion symbol in one chart. Find the small symbol printed on your card, match it below, and you know the set. 131 expansions from Base Set to Mega Evolution, grouped by era.
Look for the small symbol on your card. On vintage cards it sits at the bottom right of the artwork frame. On modern cards it sits near the collector number at the bottom of the card.
Match the symbol to the chart below. The card’s energy-symbol rarity mark (circle, diamond, star) is separate from the set symbol.

No sets match that search.
Base Set has no symbol. A card with no set symbol is from Base Set. Its reprint, Base Set 2, adds a “2” symbol.
Wizards Black Star Promos carry a black star in place of a set symbol and use their own numbering.
A few recent symbols are still being added to the chart and show as placeholders.
