What’s Releasing on March 20
Three English Pokémon TCG products are scheduled to land on 20 March 2026. Two are extensions of the Mega Evolution—Ascended Heroes run that launched in January; the third opens a brand-new product line tied to the franchise’s 30th anniversary. None of these are new booster set expansions — they’re collector-oriented products with promo cards, accessories, and existing Ascended Heroes packs.
The week after, on 27 March, the next full expansion — Mega Evolution—Perfect Order — arrives with its own Booster Display Box, Elite Trainer Box, and Build & Battle Box. This week is a bridge between the two.

Ascended Heroes Premium Poster Collections
The Mega Evolution—Ascended Heroes Premium Poster Collection comes in two variants: one featuring Mega Lucario ex and one featuring Mega Gardevoir ex. Each is sold separately and contains the same structure — only the promo card and poster artwork differ between them.
Includes 10 booster packs from Mega Evolution—Ascended Heroes, a full-art foil promo card featuring Mega Lucario ex, a double-sided poster (26.875″ × 39″) showcasing Mega Lucario and other Pokémon from the expansion, and a code card for Pokémon TCG Live.

Identical structure to the Lucario variant. Includes 10 booster packs from Mega Evolution—Ascended Heroes, a full-art foil promo card featuring Mega Gardevoir ex, a double-sided poster (26.875″ × 39″) with Mega Gardevoir artwork, and a code card for Pokémon TCG Live.

The promo cards are classified as Mega Attack Rare style — the rarity introduced with Ascended Heroes. Both variants have been confirmed by The Pokémon Company International via the official March release roundup. The double-sided poster measures 26.875″ × 39″ — a proper display-size print. Each collection also includes a code card for Pokémon TCG Live, which wasn’t widely flagged in early coverage. If you’re only interested in one variant, Mega Gardevoir ex tends to draw stronger interest from collectors in the current meta, while Mega Lucario ex has broader competitive recognition. Neither promo card is exclusive to this product format.
First Partners Deluxe Pin Collection
The First Partners Deluxe Pin Collection is a 30th anniversary-themed box spotlighting three starter Pokémon from different generations: Chikorita (Grass, Gen II), Tepig (Fire, Gen V), and Totodile (Water, Gen II). These three were chosen to tie into Pokémon Legends: Z-A.
Three foil promo cards — one each for Chikorita, Tepig, and Totodile — plus a deluxe enamel pin depicting all three starters together. The box also includes five booster packs from Mega Evolution—Ascended Heroes.

The pin is a triple-character piece showing all three starters together in glossy enamel finish — a step up from the single-Pokémon pins more commonly seen in standard pin collections. For collectors, the three promo cards are the primary draw; the pin is a nice bonus but not the kind of chase item likely to command premium resale value on its own.
First Partner Illustration Collection — Series 1
This is the most structurally distinctive product of the three. The First Partner Illustration Collection — Series 1 introduces a new product format built around illustration rare–style promo cards of classic starter Pokémon. It’s positioned as a collector’s item and anniversary celebration piece rather than a competitive release.
Each box includes a special promo booster pack containing 3 of 9 possible illustration rare–style promo cards. The nine cards feature first partner Pokémon from three regions: Kanto, Sinnoh, and Alola. Which three cards you receive is randomised. The box also contains two standard Pokémon TCG booster packs and a sticker sheet.

The Nine Promo Cards
The nine illustration rare–style promos cover three starters per region, across Kanto, Sinnoh, and Alola. The complete set of nine requires multiple boxes due to the randomised three-card pack. TPCi has not specified whether the pull rates for each card are equal across the nine, or whether any are seeded differently.
Region selection skips Johto, Hoenn, Unova, Kalos, Galar, and Paldea entirely for this first wave — an unusual choice given that Johto starters in particular have strong collector demand. The Series 1 designation strongly implies further waves covering the remaining regions, though no Series 2 date or product details have been announced by TPCi at time of writing.
Context: Where These Sit in the Release Schedule
March is a busy month for English TCG product. The staggered Ascended Heroes rollout began in January with the main set, continued with the ETBs and Mini Tins in February, and now closes out with the poster collections. Mega Evolution—Perfect Order then begins its own rollout on 27 March.
| Date | Product | Type |
|---|---|---|
| 30 Jan 2026 | Mega Evolution—Ascended Heroes (main set) | Full Expansion |
| 20 Feb 2026 | Ascended Heroes ETBs, Mini Tins | Accessories |
| 20 Mar 2026 | Poster Collections, Pin Collection, Illustration Collection | Collector Products |
| 27 Mar 2026 | Mega Evolution—Perfect Order (main set) | Full Expansion |
The three March 20 products are all collector-facing. None introduce new cards to the competitive card pool. If your primary interest is in the Perfect Order set releasing the following week, the poster collections are primarily worth considering for the Ascended Heroes pack value and the promo cards. The illustration collection stands on its own as a distinct product. For UK stockists, see our guide on where to buy Pokémon TCG in the UK.
