Pokémon TCG Pocket Dual Fusion
Dual Fusion (C1) is the next Pokémon TCG Pocket expansion and the first set of the new C series. It launches at 1am UK time on Thursday 29 October 2026 (6pm PDT on Wednesday 28 October). It brings the first dual-type Pokémon: Mega Mewtwo X ex is Psychic and Fighting, and Mega Greninja ex is Water and Darkness. Mega Mewtwo X ex and Fuecoco ex were first shown at PokémonXP in August.
Key facts
- Release: Thursday 29 October 2026, 1am UK. That is 6pm PDT on 28 October and 10am JST on 29 October.
- Packs: Pikachu and Mega Mewtwo X.
- Revealed so far: 9 cards. Six are four-diamond Pokémon ex, and three are one-star Kanto starters: Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise.
- Dual types: Mega Mewtwo X ex (Psychic / Fighting) and Mega Greninja ex (Water / Darkness) print two type symbols.
- Slower release cycle: from the C series, new booster packs arrive roughly every six weeks instead of every four.

- Special Pack: First Partners. One card per pack, always ★ or higher, showing the first partner Pokémon from all nine regions. It opens with special pack stamina that refills once a week, not with pack hourglasses. No release date yet.
- Community Decks. Browse popular decks and your friends’ decks in-game and copy them. Cards you don’t own show greyed out until you get them.
- Limited battles. Events a while after each launch that only allow the newest cards.
- Rental decks. Available from day one of each set, with unlimited uses, and now usable in versus battles.
- Smaller changes. Immersive cards as collection-mission rewards, custom rules for private matches, 30 deck slots and a player level cap of 70.

A separate 30th-anniversary event started on 20 October 2026 and runs until 20 October 2027. Log in on any 10 days to get an immersive Pikachu ex illustrated by YOSHIROTTEN, the artist behind the Futuristic rares in 30th Celebration.
The event also gives Pika Pika! Pikachu packs, which reprint ◇ to ★★ and Shiny Pikachu cards from Genetic Apex to Deluxe Pack: Mega. A Pika Pika! Pikachu pack ex guarantees a ★★ card or a Shiny Pikachu ex. Pikachu playmat, sleeves and coin accessories are included too.
