Full-Art Cards
Each deck contains one full-art card, printed in the AR style: Eevee in MEE, Zorua in MEZ, and Sprigatito in MEM. All three are the basic form rather than the ex, and each is a single copy per box.
Overview
The MEGA Starter Set ex is a set of three Japanese preconstructed decks, all released on Friday 31 July 2026 at ¥1,800 each. Each box holds one 60-card deck built around a single Pokémon ex, plus the accessories needed to play. They launch on the same day as the Storm Emeralda booster expansion.
Each deck is single-type and runs 16 basic Energy. The set codes are MEE, MEZ and MEM.

All three products share the same contents list. A box holds one deck, and the official product page states that two decks are required to play.
Each deck also contains reprints of cards from earlier series.
Starter Set ex — Eevee ex
The official description calls this a deck that attaches Energy to Eevee ex and Lightning-type Pokémon. Eevee ex is Colorless and runs on the deck’s basic Lightning Energy.

Pawmot is a Stage 2, and the deck runs two Rare Candy. The other Pokémon are Jolteon, Pawmo, Pawmi, Rotom, Miraidon, Tauros, Eevee and Delibird.

Starter Set ex — Zorua & Zoroark ex
Described officially as a deck that attacks with Darkness-type Pokémon and Zoroark ex. Zoroark ex’s Riot Beat costs a single Energy.

Weakness Grass ×2 · Retreat [C] · card 005/019
Riot Beat deals 20 damage for each of your Pokémon in play, so a full board of six deals 120. Morpeko’s Call for Family puts up to two Basic Pokémon onto the Bench. Darkrai’s Cloak in Shadow attaches up to two Basic Darkness Energy from the deck to itself.
This is the only deck with Crushing Hammer and the only one without Rare Candy. It has no Stage 2 line. The other Pokémon are Sharpedo, Carvanha, Darkrai, Purrloin, Zorua, Morpeko, Zarude and Delibird.

Starter Set ex — Sprigatito & Meowscarada ex
The official page calls this a deck that combines Grass-type Pokémon. Both key Pokémon are Stage 2.
- Magical Bullet
- [G][G] — 120 damage, and 120 damage to one of your opponent's Benched Pokémon that already has damage counters on it. Weakness and Resistance are not applied to Benched Pokémon.
- Oil Slip
- Ability. Once during your turn, switch your opponent's Active Pokémon with one of their Benched Pokémon. Your opponent chooses the Pokémon that goes to the Active Spot.
- Mega Drain
- [G][C] — 100 damage. Heal 30 damage from this Pokémon.
Weakness Fire ×2 · Retreat [C][C] · card 008/017
Magical Bullet only damages a Benched Pokémon that already has damage counters on it. Oil Slip returns the opponent’s Active to the Bench, but the opponent chooses the replacement, so it is not a targeted switch. The deck also runs two Boss’s Orders.
The deck runs two Rare Candy and two Dawn. Dawn fetches a Basic, a Stage 1 and a Stage 2 in one use. Shaymin’s Scamper Through deals 20 damage to the Active and 20 to a Benched Pokémon. The other Pokémon are Sprigatito, Floragato, Dolliv, Smoliv, Virizion, Shaymin and Delibird. This is the only deck with no Judge.

Source and accuracy. Every card above has been checked against scans of the printed cards, so the card rosters, numbering, HP, attacks and abilities on this page are confirmed. The Eevee and Zoroark decks run to 19 numbered cards each plus a full art and a basic Energy; the Meowscarada deck runs to 17 plus the same two.
Where to Buy
🇯🇵 Japan
All three decks go on sale 31 July 2026 through Pokémon Centers, hobby shops, convenience stores and general retailers. Several Japanese retailers ran lottery allocations rather than open pre-orders. Amazon Japan opened first-come pre-orders on 29 June 2026.
Importing
No English release has been announced. Retail price in Japan is ¥1,800 per deck. Import duty and shipping apply on top of any listed price.
