Mega Rayquaza ex
Ruler of the Skies is the next expansion for Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket. It launches on Wednesday, 29 July 2026 at 6:00 p.m. PDT, which is 30 July in most regions. It is the first appearance of Mega Rayquaza ex in Pocket.

The set also adds Mega Metagross ex and Mega Gallade ex, for three Mega Evolution ex in total. Covers and backdrops featuring Mega Rayquaza become available from Saturday, 1 August.

Feature updates
Ruler of the Skies adds several updates to core game features:
- Deck sharing via 2D codes. You can share decks with other players using scannable 2D pattern codes.
- Multi-pack card dex registration. A card that appears in multiple booster packs now registers in the card dex for all of them. This applies to cards you already own.
- Guaranteed rare pull. If certain conditions are met when opening a booster pack, the next pack from the same expansion guarantees a ♦♦♦♦ or higher card.

Elite deck gift missions
Elite deck gift missions run from late July to late October. Completing them gives a Fighting-type deck with Mega Lucario ex from Pulsing Aura and Hitmonchan ex from Mega Rising.
Summer events
Several events run through the summer:
- Late July to late October: card collection missions for Trainer cards, including Leaf, Sabrina and Red.
- Late July to early August: Summer Event Missions. Log in and battle to earn booster packs and other items.
- Early to mid-August: the Ruler of the Skies Emblem Event. Earn emblems based on battles won, and complete missions for shinedust and other items. The concurrent Community Week lets you trade and share cards for trade hourglasses, accessories, and other rewards.
- Mid- to late August: the Mega Houndoom ex Drop Event. Clear solo battles for B series vol. 11 promo packs, collect Pachirisu and Beldum cards in a wonder pick event. Deluxe Pack: ex booster packs also return.
The first revealed cards
The first cards have been revealed, including three Mega Evolution ex, Basics, Stage cards and Trainers. A selection is below. The full searchable list is on the set page.
Launching alongside the physical sets
Ruler of the Skies is the first TCG Pocket expansion to launch at the same time as a physical Pokémon TCG set built around the same Pokémon. In Japan, Storm Emeralda releases 31 July 2026. Its English equivalent, Delta Reign, follows on 6 November. Both are also led by Mega Rayquaza ex.
