The Announcement
In celebration of three decades since the franchise launched in 1996, The Pokémon Company has unveiled over 1,100 custom “30th Anniversary” logos — one for each of the 1,025 known Pokémon species, plus regional variants and special forms including Alolan, Galarian, and Hisuian. The campaign launched in time for Pokémon Day on February 27, 2026. Mega Evolutions were not included.
Each logo reimagines the iconic Pokémon wordmark: the number “3” is dynamically coloured to match the featured Pokémon’s primary type — green for Grass, blue for Water, red for Fire — fused with a Poké Ball-shaped “0,” with the Pokémon’s silhouette leaping from the ball. Below sits the tagline “Pokémon: Since 1996.” The designs have been proudly displayed across train stations in Japan and flooded social media feeds worldwide.

The Scale: 1,025 + Forms = 1,113
As of Generation 9, there are 1,025 base Pokémon species. But The Pokémon Company went further, crafting unique logos for most forms and variants. Fan archives confirm a total of 1,113 individual designs. From Bulbasaur to Pecharunt, nothing was left out — even niche entries like Type: Null and Silvally received stylised treatments.
The logos were first teased through animated billboards and outdoor advertising in Tokyo before the full collection rolled out via social media.

Standout Designs
The designs aren’t just recolours of the same template. Each Eeveelution gets a unique colour treatment matching its type, the Ultra Beasts all incorporate wormhole imagery, and the Future Paradox Pokémon have a dot matrix texture running through the “3” — small touches that reward fans who actually look. Rayquaza, Mew, and Heracross have been doing the rounds on social media since launch. One notable absence: Mega Evolutions didn’t make the cut.
The Bigger Picture
The logo campaign is just the opening act. The Pokémon Company has signalled a packed anniversary calendar: Pokémon Presents livestreams, exclusive merchandise drops at Pokémon Center stores (including holographic apparel, TCG sleeves, and enamel pins), and likely game announcements.
The Pokémon Presents broadcast airs on February 27, 2026 at the following times:

| Pacific (PST) | 6:00 AM |
| Eastern (EST) | 9:00 AM |

For TCG collectors specifically, major anniversaries have historically produced some of the most collectible products. The 20th anniversary gave us Generations and planted the seeds for Pokémon 151. The 25th brought Celebrations. If the pattern holds, the 30th could deliver something on an even larger scale — and these logos suggest the visual identity is already in place to support it.
