Numbers carry the XY prefix. They run separately from the numbered XY expansions.
Every Black Star Promo carries a black star where an expansion symbol would normally sit. That mark is what gives the series its name.
How to identify one: the black star contains an XY-prefixed number, and the card has no set symbol.
